Why Go to Therapy

Therapy is a place where you can be yourself and the person across from you wants nothing more. In fact, the more of you, the better. It’s a place where you don’t have to edit or downplay how you feel. The rules of typical social engagement don’t apply. This is your time. You don’t have to consider the feelings, needs, or personal life of your therapist. You get to be free to be the entirety of who you are, to express yourself fully, and to speak your truth. In turn, your therapist’s role is to invite you to dig deeper, invite exploration, and see those parts you know as well as discover the parts you don’t.
